Meet Jack

You might recognise Jack if you’ve been to Moon Rabbit Cafe at Bridge Darebin Preston, but what you might not realise is that Jack has been a driving force behind the development of our new community program Bridge Queer Gathering.

“The lack of community groups designed to bring older and younger people together, isn't something unique to the queer community, but as a gay person myself I realised that it was a gap that I wanted to address. We've seen a real divide between older and young people throughout COVID, and Bridge Queer Gathering is trying to bridge the gap between generations.”

With weekly activations, Bridge Queer Gathering is going to include excursions and outdoor activities, skill-building and sharing workshops and a monthly drop-in hang out space for people to have a cup of tea and a chat. It's going to be community-led and loved.
